Halminen Homes is proud to be one of the three local builders to partner with The Municipality of Clarington in their new Priority Green initiative. 

“The demonstration project will see a long list of practices for water conservation, energy efficiency, improved indoor air quality, reduced rain water runoff, and efficient resource management installed in six homes to be built this year within the Courtice North subdivision in Courtice. With agreement from the purchasers of the demonstration homes, the Municipality will conduct a monitoring program to evaluate the performance of the homes under “real life” conditions. The data will be used to inform residents and the building sector about the potential environmental, economic and social benefits of the building techniques and equipment that were used”
