5K on the RUNWAY – HEARTH PLACE

On October 23rd, 2011 Oshawa Airport closed its runways for the second annual 5K On The Runway. The event is a fundraiser for Oshawa’s Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre. With support from many local business and the City of Oshawa the event raised over $44,000 and saw over 600 participants run and walk the 1K and 5K courses.
Hannu Halminen received a Jet Stream 31 Propeller as a proud sponsor on behalf of Halminen Homes. Hannu also came in 1st for his age group.
